The 18th session of the Bulgarian-Chinese Intergovernmental Joint Commission for Economic Cooperation will be held next year

The eighteenth session of the Bulgarian-Chinese Intergovernmental Joint Commission for Economic Cooperation will be held next year in Sofia, agreed Deputy Minister Nikolay Pavlov and the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in Bulgaria H. E. Mr. DUN Xiaojun. The meeting was also attended by representatives of the Chinese International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA).

Deputy Minister Pavlov stated the readiness of the Ministry of Economy and Industry to start the preparation of the session as soon as the period of its holding is agreed. He proposed that the session is accompanied by a bilateral business forum with the participation of business representatives from both countries, which will create new opportunities for establishing partnerships and developing trade and economic relations between the two countries.

A mutually convenient period for the session is to be agreed.

The development and intensification of bilateral trade and economic contacts, including through the participation of Bulgarian companies in international exhibitions and forums in China, were also discussed at the meeting.

CIDCA’s Vice President Mr. Deng Boqing and Deputy Director General Mr. Li Junfeng presented the agency’s capabilities to support the expansion of bilateral trade and expressed their willingness to cooperate more actively.
