At the invitation of the Minister of Economy and Industry Nikola Stojanov, representatives of the sports giant Adidas are visiting Bulgaria to explore investment opportunities. The visit is a continuation of the meeting held at the end of September, when the Minister of Economy visited the company’s headquarters in Germany.

Minister Stojanov and the representatives of the company held a meeting at the Ministry of Economy and Industry, after which together they visited Sofia Tech Park, where they were presented the vision for the expansion of the park and the areas for future development of the science and technology complex.

Adidas is interested in locations that can add value to their digital product and technology development, it became clear during the talks. “Sofia Tech Park is an excellent location for investors of your rank, and at the same time, our country can offer world-class specialists to ensure added value to the final product,” Minister Stojanov stressed.

According to him, Bulgaria ranks third in the world in IT specialists per capita and in the top 10 countries with highly educated software engineers in Europe, whose number has reached over 50 thousand people in 2021, and the total number of employees in the ICT sector exceeds 200 thousand people. The company shared its excellent impressions of Bulgaria as a source of talents in ICT, digitalization and innovation.

The Executive Director of Sofia Tech Park Todor Mladenov welcomed the guests and made a detailed presentation of the Park and the plans for its future development.
