Bulgaria Presents Itself at the First International Exhibition for Circular Economy, Energy and Construction ‘Forward Green 2023’

Bulgaria participates as a guest of honour in the first international exhibition for circular economy, energy and construction ‘Forward Green 2023’, which takes place from 8 to 10 June in Thessaloniki. The exhibition brings together over 100 exhibitors from different countries.

Our country is positioned with a national stand, which presents 33 associations, clusters, companies, municipalities, developing activities and working on projects in the field of circular economy, green transition, construction and other areas that are the focus of the exhibition. Among them are Recycling Association, Water Association, Bulgarian Construction Chamber, Automotive Cluster, CleanTech Foundation, Renewable Energy Sources Cluster Association, Alliance of the Producers of Ecological Energy, Earth and Man National Museum, companies, municipalities, etc. Bulgaria presents its experience and best practices in the areas of focus of the exhibition and through the participation of 16 Bulgarian panelists in the discussion panels of the accompanying International Forum.

The stand displays videos showing Bulgaria’s economic progress and investment opportunities, the country’s natural resources, and exhibiting companies show their projects in the areas that are the focus of the exhibition. The nationally representative employers’ organizations — Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Bulgarian Industrial Capital Association, Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria, Bulgarian Industrial Association are also represented with information materials.

Opening the event, TEF-HELEXPO President Tassos Tsikas said that the aim of ‘Forward Green 2023’ is to set the framework and foundation for the theme of circular economy and to highlight its importance for all countries in the region and beyond. ‘Forward Green 2023’ brings together representatives and experts from the governmental and non-governmental sectors of Greece, Southeastern, Central and Northern Europe, as well as Asia and America. During the three-day international forum, discussions are held to exchange experiences as well as to launch joint partnerships.

Among the topics of the event are the complicated energy situation in Europe, alternative energy suppliers, measures and technologies to increase the energy efficiency of enterprises and households. The programme also includes discussions related to investments in the circular economy in the SEE region, waste management, green finance, energy transformation, green transport, blue economy, etc.
