The Ministry of Economy held for the third consecutive year the competition for the best business project in the creative industries – Th13teen Arts and it gave the opportunity to entrepreneurs from the creative industries in Bulgaria to present their innovative business concepts.
As a winner of the contest Th13teen Arts 2015 was announced the enterprise “Arthesis” whose business concept offers an innovative design of prostheses for amputees. The winner will have the opportunity to represent Bulgaria at the global contest in the field of creative industries Creative Business Cup, which will be held in November 2015 in Denmark. The Ministry of Economy will cover the winner’s travel and accommodation expenses in Copenhagen during the competition, as well as a training session on presentation skills when pitching to investors. Enterprises from 63 countries will compete for “The Best Entrepreneur in the creative industries” award at the international competition Creative Business Cup and for the award of $20,000. The Bulgarian winner “Arthesis” will have the opportunity to present their innovative business concept to some of the largest companies and investors in start-up enterprises in the world.
The runner-up at the final of the national contest Th13teen Arts is “Playground Energy”, who design equipment for playgrounds that generates energy while being used. The jury of the contest placed third the social enterprise “Hemus”, which produces handmade carpets and textiles.
The Bulgarian winner-enterprises from the previous two editions of Th13teen Arts who took part in the Creative Business Cup finals won a special prize in 2013 and reached the semifinals in 2014.
