The Ministry of Economy should tackle with the highest priority in reducing administrative burdens and regulations on business. That was insisted by the management of the Bulgarian Industrial Association (BIA) during a meeting with the Minister of Economy Bojidar Loukarsky held today. We should restore the society right in its relations with the administration, called the Chairman of the Board of Directors at the BIA Sasho Donchev.
According to the Deputy Chairman of the Association Kamen Kolev, the Law on reduction in administrative burden is not currently applied effectively. Kolev considers that a change in 82 regulations laws that impede business with unnecessary regulations is required. Furthermore, there are over 350 licensing, registration and authorisation requirements, which are administered by municipalities in violation of the law and create opportunities for corruption, said Kolev. The BIA also insisted on adhering to the principle of accounting separation of the fees applied to registration and licensing. According to the Association, the administration currently makes profit the variety of charges instead of the businesses and citizens.
