The exchange of goods between Bulgaria and Russia has grown 35% in the first half of 2017. This became clear during a meeting of the Minister of the economy Emil Karanikolov with the Ambassador of the Russian federation in our country HE Anatoly Makarov.
Minister Karanikolov and Ambassador Makarov discussed the development of bilateral trade and economic relationships, and both highlighted the opportunities for their expansion and deepening. It was noted that a positive trend of increasing bilateral exchange of goods is evident since the beginning of the year, reaching nearly USD 2 billion in the first half of this year. Ambassador Makarov stressed the positive trend and expressed his hope that it will be kept up and increased. Minister Karanikolov, in his turn, presented the measures to encourage investments, as well as the opportunities in industrial zones in our country.
