“Bilateral trade between Bulgaria and Germany reached record high levels and exceeded 7 billion leva annually, which is an indicator that German investors view our country as a reliable and stable economic partner.” Deputy Minister Lachezar Borissov made this statement during the official reception of “25 years of German economic in Bulgaria”, organized by the German-Bulgarian industry and trade chamber.
“Throughout the years Bulgaria has proven that it can be an island of financial and macroecnomical stability, flexible enough to cope with the tasks set by investors, easily predictable and adaptive to the challenges of global economy.”, the deputy minister underlined.
He expressed his gratitude towards the German- Bulgarian industry and trade chamber for the prime reference that the Ministry of Economy receives from it when it comes to recommendations coming from investors, their requirements, impressions and expectations. In his words, a proof of successful partnership and mutual satisfaction of the business environment between the two countries is the attraction of several large companies within this year, one of the largest is going to be introduced in the next week, the realization of which the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Health and the whole Parliamet’s effort was required. In turn, Helge Telcosdorf, leader of Federal Ministry of Economic and Energetics’s paper congratulated the Ministry of Economy for its excellent work on attracting strategic German investors and overcoming the obstacles which lead to the selection of Bulgaria as an investment destination.
