Four and a half billion euro is the trade flow between Bulgaria and Italy during 2017, which makes the Italian country the second largest trade partner of Bulgaria for the past year. Deputy Minister of Economy Lachezar Borisov stated that in his speech, presenting a business guide for our country, prepared by Konfindustry Bulgaria. Present at the event, introducing the guide aimed at helping Italian investors to acquire a better understanding of the Bulgarian economic climate, were also the Italian ambassador in Bulgaria Mr. Stefano Baldi, Konfindustry Bulgaria’s chairwoman – Mrs. Maria Luiza Meroni, InvestBulgaria Agency’s executive director – Mr. Stamen Yanev, as well as entrepreneurs from various sectors.
The Deputy Minister of Economy further pointed that the Italian country is occupying the 4th spot in the rankings of foreign investors in Bulgaria for the last 20 years. In his words, according to various researches of foreign chambers of commerce, 90% of the investors that have already set foot on the Bulgarian market would reinvest in our country, which is proof for the improving business climate. “We foresee the economic growth during this year to reach the 4% mark, as well as a 10% real growth in investments during 2018.”
Mrs. Meroni pointed that, the Edition may be of use to any entrepreneur investing in Bulgaria in order to receive more information. According to her – the Business Guide will serve as a handbook for investors who want to develop their activities here, by presenting economic finances and the investing possibilities in our country.
