Deputy Minister Vezieva: The revival of the industry requires long-term priorities

“The establishment of prerequisites and conditions for the resurgence of Bulgarian industry requires formulating the long-term priorities. That is to try to identify specific priorities, thus guaranteeing a targeted and an effective strategy”. That was stated by Deputy Minister of Economy Daniela Vezieva at roundtable on “Revival of the industry in Bulgaria” organized earlier today by the Independent Trade Unions’ Congress of Bulgaria.

Deputy Minister Vezieva determined the presence of a strong industrial base as a key factor for the organization of a sustainable process of creating added value and employment. Vezieva highlighted the need for integration of Bulgarian enterprises in the economy of the European Community and global level, and in stimulating research and development, especially in export-oriented enterprises. Among the specific areas that the Deputy Minister Vezieva pointed out as absolutely necessary for the initiation of industrial revival are strengthening human capital and fostering skills development, including through dual education, ensuring access to financing and promoting innovation in industrial enterprises.

“We are fully prepared to deepen cooperation with branch organizations and partners, without which an effective strategy for the revival of Bulgarian industry could not be developed and implemented”, Deputy Minister Vezieva added.
