One of the Largest Jordanian Companies in the Mining Industry Plans to Start a Partnership with Bulgarian Companies

One of the largest Jordanian companies in the mining industry is looking for Bulgarian partners for joint projects. This became clear during a meeting of the Minister of Economy and Industry Nikola Stojanov with Mohamad Tneybad, Chairman of the Board of Jordan Phosphate Mines Company and former Deputy Prime Minister of Jordan.

Mohamad Tneybad is visiting Bulgaria to explore investment opportunities in the country and partnerships with Bulgarian companies through which the company can expand its presence in Europe. ‘Bulgaria has a very developed extractive and processing industry and I am confident that you will find here suitable partners that are competitive at the global level,’ Minister Stojanov emphasized.

Mohamad Tneybad, said that Bulgaria has the potential to become one of the company’s strong partners in Europe and today’s meeting gives a clear sign of the institutional support that the state provides to businesses and potential investors in the country. Specific opportunities for joint projects between the two countries were also discussed during the talks, which will further contribute to deepening trade and economic relations between Europe and the Middle East.

The former Deputy Prime Minister of Jordan invited a Bulgarian business delegation to visit the country and explore the possibilities for joint investment in fertilizer production facilities.

The meeting was organized with the assistance of the Honorary Consulate of Jordan in Bulgaria, and the Honorary Consul of Jordan in Bulgaria Hassan Barmawi took part in the talks.

Jordan Phosphate Mines Company’ operates in the mining and phosphate fertilizer sectors. The company is the second largest exporter and sixth largest producer of phosphate in the world, with a production capacity of over 7 million tonnes of phosphate per year. The company’s production operations are located in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, which has the fifth largest phosphate reserves in the world, equivalent to 3.7 billion tonnes, of which 1.25 billion tonnes are the company’s reserves.
