For the 2022/2023 academic year, 90 employers have expressed their willingness to hire students in 13 professional fields and to open jobs for 730 students. This was announced to the media by the Minister of Economy and Industry Nikola Stojanov at the University of National and World Economy. He was a guest at the official opening of the new academic year at the university.
The Ministry of Economy and Industry has provided an opportunity for nationally representative employers’ organisations to submit proposals for courses for the 2022/2023 academic year in which employers are experiencing a shortage of qualified staff and are also interested in investing the necessary time and resources to train their staff through apprenticeships. Among the most sought-after specialties in the professional field of Economics are: Business Management, Commerce, Logistics and Industrial Management, he said.
The university trains the cadres for some of the best-paid majors. For example, the highest average monthly salary in the sector “Creation and dissemination of information and creative products” reaches BGN 4208. In the financial and insurance activities sector, the average monthly salary is BGN 2 749.
The new academic year at the UNWE was opened by Prime Minister Galab Donev. The solemn event was also attended by the Minister of e-Government Georgi Todorov, representatives of the academic community of the University and others.
