Minister Bogdanov highlighted the good relations between the two countries, pointing out that this is a prerequisite for further development of the potential and economic cooperation with Belgium. He announced that in 2022, trade with Belgium will amount to just over EUR 2 billion, an increase of 6.8 percent compared to the previous year 2021. ‘In the first quarter of this year alone, trade turnover with Belgium continues to grow and reached EUR 675.6 million, which is proof of the continued development of bilateral trade relations,’ he said.
In his words, more and more companies are choosing Bulgaria as an investment destination and Belgian companies are among the most active in developing new products and innovations. ‘We will continue the active dialogue with investors, businesses and chambers of commerce,’ the Minister of Economy and Industry further stressed.
