We will support Bulgarian producers to find new markets
Minister of Economy and Industry Bogdan Bogdanov announced that Bulgarian dairy producers will be supported to find new markets. He opened the 21st edition of the Yoghurt Fair in Razgrad.
According to the latest data, there are nearly 300 dairy farms in Bulgaria, employing more than 7,300 people.
In front of dozens of companies and producers from all over the country, the Minister reminded that Bulgarian yoghurt is a sought-after product and is consumed in many countries on different continents. He also highlighted another recognition coming from the European Commission, which on Tuesday included our milk on the list of products with protected designation of origin.
‘It is a priority for us as a government to help Bulgarian producers,’ Bogdanov added.
Earlier he visited the innovative enterprise for the production of yoghurt ferments with own strains of lactic acid bacteria and probiotic and synbiotic preparations Selur Pharma OOD in Razgrad.
