The Minister of Economy and Industry Bogdan Bogdanov held a video-call with Ms. Yulia Sviridenko, First Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Economy of Ukraine.
During the talks, the ministers discussed the possible participation of Bulgarian companies in the post-war reconstruction and reconstruction of Ukraine, as well as joint projects aimed at deepening bilateral economic and investment cooperation.
Minister Bogdanov stressed that Ukraine is one of the important and promising foreign trade partners of the Republic of Bulgaria. He recalled that in recent years, foreign trade between the two countries has been characterised by a steady growth in bilateral trade.
In 2022, trade with Ukraine will exceed 2.7% of Bulgaria’s total trade. Trade turnover amounted to just over USD 3 billion, up 104.9% on the previous year.
During the video-call, the Minister of Economy of Ukraine Ms. Sviridenko also presented Ukraine’s candidacy for hosting EXPO 2030.
