Minister Bogdanov: Bulgaria could become a hub for the production of energy storage systems

The attraction of strategic investments and the potential for new key projects were discussed by Minister of Economy and Industry Bogdan Bogdanov and President Rumen Radev.

Minister Bogdanov said that the work on key projects for Bulgaria should be in sync between all institutions. He stressed on the need to ensure predictability for businesses in order to realise potential investment intentions. Bogdanov said that ready land and industrial zones with built infrastructure are being prepared for companies to position themselves.

He assured that they are working for a predictable business environment as well as stability for business. In his words, Bulgaria could become a hub for the production of energy storage systems.

Bogdanov thanked the President for his visit to the recently held International Fair in Thessaloniki, where Bulgaria was a honorary guest country. He pointed out that our country has shown a new image at the Fair, which includes the fields of high technology, innovation and education.

The Minister stressed that despite Bulgaria’s confirmed participation on the last day of the caretaker government, for just a month the Ministry of Economy and Industry managed to organize Bulgaria’s participation in the international trade fair at a high level.

The Head of State congratulated Bogdan Bogdanov for his work as the head of the Bulgarian Investment Agency, for the good results in attracting investment projects, as well as for the establishment of one of the largest economic zones in the Balkans – in Dobroslavtsi. The project provides opportunities for large-scale investments in the green economy, the automotive industry and the electric mobility.
