There are many motives for the shake-up at the State Consolidation Company (SCC). There is no way that a company like DCC, which manages over 1 billion BGN, does not have an annual financial report published for the second year in a row. There is a violation of the law. This is what the Minister of Economy and Industry Bogdan Bogdanov told Btv.
According to him, the leadership had one year to solve the problem but never did. “There were excuses from the former leadership that they inherited this situation from 2021 so this problem has not been solved in 2022,” Minister Bogdanov added. He stressed that there is also a lack of a business programme – not only of the SCC but also of four of its subsidiaries.
Minister Bogdanov was adamant that he had not insisted on the appointment of personnel to the leadership. “There is no way I can insist on someone’s appointment in front of a leadership that is not doing its job,” the economy minister further said.
In his words, the new CEO and his team have a clear mandate to solve specific problems.
