Minister Dilov: The development of industrial zones is a priority to attract new high-tech investments

Negotiations are underway to launch investments of over 45 million leva in the industrial zones of the NCIZ.

The development of industrial zones and the construction of the necessary infrastructure is our priority in order to attract new high-tech investments in Bulgaria. This was stated by the Minister of Economy and Industry, Petеr Dilov, who held a meeting with the Executive Director of the National Company Industrial Zones EAD (NCIZ) at the Ministry of Economy and Industry – Angel Tanev.

The two discussed the realization of the industrial zones of the NCIZ and an effective mechanism for attracting investments.

“To be effective in attracting investors, we need to build zones with ready-made infrastructure,” said Minister Dilov.

“What is important for us is that investors who show interest in Bulgaria choose a suitable place for their business and have the necessary conditions to start their production as quickly as possible,” he added.

For his part, the new Executive Director of NCIZ EAD, Angel Tanev, stressed that the state-owned company will have a proactive policy to attract investments.

According to him, negotiations are at an advanced stage with investors who intend to move into the industrial zones in the automotive industry, food and beverage industry, construction industry, pharmaceuticals, production of high-tech products and equipment, warehousing and logistics sectors. The expected investments for these projects amount to over 45 million leva, and the companies are Bulgarian, as well as German, Spanish, Chinese and Turkish.
