Minister Dilov participated in the opening of an investment in a logistics center worth over BGN 60 million near Stara Zagora

The Minister of Economy and Industry, Peter Dilov, participated in the official opening of a new investment by “Billa Bulgaria” in a logistics center near the village of Zagore, Stara Zagora. This is the company’s third logistics center in Bulgaria, with the investment exceeding BGN 60 million.

The new logistics base has created around 250 new jobs, which is a significant contribution to the economic and social development of the region.

“The expansion of the activities of investors like your company in Bulgaria is a recognition of our efforts to build a favourable business environment and attract quality investments,” Minister Dilov stated at the opening.

During the ceremony, the Minister of Economy further emphasized the importance of the investment for the Bulgarian economy, as it will create new jobs, increase productivity and gross domestic product, as well as bring fiscal benefits to the state.

According to him, this is another large company that chooses Bulgaria as a destination for expanding its investments.

The opening ceremony was also attended by Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov, the Mayor of Stara Zagora Zhivko Todorov, and the manager of “Billa” – Dimitar Peshev.

The logistics center was built with a focus on sustainability and environmental protection. The facility built in the village of Zagore has implemented technological innovations and the site will be certified under the international BREEAM standard for green building.
