Minister of Economy and Industry Nikola Stojanov and Ambassador of the Republic of Chile H.E. Maria Pia Busta Diaz discussed opportunities for deepening bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
‘The economic relations between Bulgaria and Chile should be deepened and developed in view of Chile’s leading role in regional economic organizations and structures, including the cooperation within the OECD,’ Minister Stojanov said. In his words, the two countries have a great potential for expanding trade, which has not been used effectively so far.
It became clear from the meeting that today H.E. Maria Pia Busta Diaz has presented her credentials to President Rumen Radev and is now serving as ambassador to Bulgaria.
Minister Stojanov and H.E. Maria Pia Busta Diaz identified areas of mutual interest, including start-up companies, food industry, mechanical engineering, electronics and electrical engineering, among others. They discussed starting cooperation in the field of small and medium-sized enterprises, using the possibilities of the Executive Agency for the Promotion of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises and the Chilean agency ProChilie.
