Minister of Economy and Industry Dr. Petko Nikolov and Argentina’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Bulgaria, Mr. Alejandro Zothner Meyer, discussed improving the level of economic relations between the two nations during a meeting.
The Minister of Economy and Industry and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Bulgaria emphasized that the level of trade exchange does not correspond to the existing potential between the two countries and discussed opportunities to improve trade cooperation.
Minister Nikolov and Ambassador Meyer noted that there are opportunities to improve collaboration in areas like agriculture, tourism, energy, mechanical engineering, and more.
During the meeting, it became clear that preparations have started for the Bulgarian-Argentinian Commission on Bilateral Economic Cooperation, set to take place next year in Buenos Aires. Minister Nikolov and Ambassador Meyer also discussed the possibilities of organizing a joint business forum alongside the bilateral commission to create new opportunities for businesses from both countries.
Minister Nikolov emphasized that organizing the bilateral commission for economic cooperation will contribute to improving trade relations and strengthening the economic ties between Bulgaria and Argentina.
In turn Ambassador Mayer emphasized that our country could become a hub for Argentine goods to Eastern Europe.
