The partnership between LB Bulgaricum and Meiji is an important sign for the development of the Bulgarian–Japanese cooperation. Our desire is to continue the good relationship and deepen the partnership. This was stated by the Minister of Economy and Industry Dr. Petko Nikolov, who held a meeting with representatives of the Japanese company Meiji, who are visiting Bulgaria.
Minister Nikolov introduced the new Executive Director of LB Bulgaricum Zhivko Zhivkov and assured the representatives of the Japanese company that the fruitful cooperation will continue in the future, in view of the interest of both sides.
In the course of the talks, the Japanese side’s proposal for the establishment of a new joint research institute in Sofia between Meiji and LB Bulgaricum was also discussed. The representatives of the Japanese company pointed out that the project was proposed two years ago, but there was a delay on the Bulgarian side in its implementation and the signing of an agreement for its creation on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the successful partnership between the two companies.
Zhivko Zhivkov, Executive Director of LB Bulgaricum, stressed that he will continue working on the agreement to establish a joint research institute to protect the interest of both sides and contribute to the development of cooperation in research and development.
The meeting was also attended by the Executive Director of the State Consolidation Company Konstantin Stoychev.
