The possibilities for activating the economic cooperation between Bulgaria and Kazakhstan were discussed during a meeting of the Minister of Economy and Industry Nikola Stojanov with the Ambassador of the Asian country H.E. Temirtai Izbastin.

“Bilateral trade amounts to almost 50 million USD for 2021”, Minister Stojanov emphasized. According to him, there is a great potential for its growth and development in areas of mutual interest. “Dialogue is the basis for identifying together more joint initiatives in which representatives of businesses and institutions from both countries can participate”, Nikola Stojanov added.

During the meeting, the upcoming Fifth meeting of the Kazakh-Bulgarian intergovernmental commission for economic cooperation was also discussed, and the participants united around the opinion that this is an important tool for promoting trade, economic and investment relations between the two countries. Minister Stojanov: Investments in the Bulgarian economy for 2021 exceed BGN 18.4 billion.
