The BIA also pressed for the inclusion of public procurement in e-government and the typifying of application dossier. According to the BIA, this will ensure transparency in the process and will reduce opportunities for corruption in tenders.
The issue regarding the negotiations on the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) was also addressed at the meeting. Both sides agreed that a higher transparency in the negotiation process is needed, since the agreement will provide greater opportunities for business development and trade relations of the EU member states with the USA.
Minister Loukarsky called the BIA members to propose projects, which will be included the European Commission’s Investment Plan for Europe (EC IPE) known as the Juncker Plan. He informed the management of the BIA of the intention of the Ministry of Economy to resume the operation of the Council for Economic Growth and invited the BIA to participate in its activities.
