The Minister of Economy and Industry of the Republic of Bulgaria Nikola Stojanov was an official guest at the headquarters of the German company Adidas. He talked with the executive director of the company Kasper Rorsted and presented the investment opportunities in our country.
“Adidas are interested in locations that can add value to their digital product and technology development. Minister Nikola Stojanov highlighted Bulgaria’s achievements in the sector and presented some of the foreign companies already operating in the country. According to him, Bulgaria is third in the world in IT specialists per capita and in the top 10 countries with highly educated software engineers in Europe, whose number has reached over 50 thousand people in 2021, and the total number of employees in the ICT sector exceeds 200 thousand people.
“Bulgaria is interested in attracting investors who will add value to the Bulgarian economy. Adidas is a brand that speaks for itself and I am sure that our country can offer many opportunities if you trust and invest in Bulgaria,” Minister Stojanov stressed. He also presented the possibilities of the first technology park in Bulgaria – Sofia Tech Park as a suitable location for a new Adidas project in Bulgaria.
The two sides agreed to continue the talks in Bulgaria, as next month a delegation of the sports manufacturer will visit our country. The management of the company shared its excellent impressions of Bulgaria as a source of talent in the field of ICT, digitization and innovation and did not hide its serious interest in investment opportunities in Bulgaria.
