Minister of Economy and Industry Nikola Stojanov showed the investment opportunities in the Bozhurishte industrial zone to representatives of the diplomatic corps from European countries. The initiative aimed to present the conditions that state industrial parks can offer, as well as the plans for their development.
“For the last 10 years private investments in the Bozhurishte industrial zone have amounted to over BGN 610 million. These funds have been invested mainly by foreign companies”, Minister Nikola Stojanov emphasized. According to him, the zone produces materials for the automotive industry, parts and modules for packaging machines for the food, pharmaceutical and medical industries, telecommunications equipment, audio systems, and equipment for the military industry, biocosmetics, biofoods, etc. Exports are mainly to EU countries, but many manufacturers have customers worldwide.
“Our country sees in industrial zones a serious opportunity to promote growth and attract new investments with high added value. That is why now is probably the best time to invest in them – because we can offer some of the best conditions, along with the state guarantee for their further development,” Minister Stojanov stressed.
For the first time the largest state industrial zone in Bulgaria – Bozhurishte opened its doors for an organized visit of representatives of the diplomatic corps in Bulgaria. During the visit two of the serious investments in the area were shown – a Danish and a German company. The diplomats talked with representatives of the foreign companies who were adamant that Bulgaria offers very good and competitive conditions for investment.
The visit was hosted by the Executive Director of “National Company Industrial Zones” EAD Antoaneta Bares, who together with her team presented the stages of the investment process in the state zones, as well as all the company’s locations in Bulgaria.
