The Minister of Economy Teodor Sedlarski handed over three certificates for investment class “A” under the Investments Encouragement Act. The projects of Agripress Service EOOD, Questers Bulgaria EOOD and Scale Focus AD received certificates. The Deputy Minister of Economy, Lachezar Borisov, the Executive Director of the InvestBulgaria Agency, Stamen Yanev, as well as the Executive Directors of National Company Industrial Zones Stefan Staykov and Antoaneta Bares also attended the official ceremony.
Minister Sedlarski announced that the investments under these projects are at the total value of 5.57 million BGN, and in total 345 new workplaces will be created under the projects and indicated that solely for the first four months of 2017, 9 certificates were issued at the total value of 148.88 million BGN anticipating the creation of 3850 new workplaces.
The Minister of Economy pointed out that two of the projects of Questers Bulgaria EOOD and Scale Focus AD are in the sphere of the highly technological activities from the sector of services, in particular from the information technologies, which is one of the most dynamically developing industries in the last few years and along with the outsourcing are amongst the leading sectors for attraction of investments in our country.
According to his words the third project of Agripress Service EOOD is in the sphere of logistics /the storage of cargos/ and is implemented on the territory of industrial zone Sofia – Bozhurishte. “This is the most dynamically developing industrial zone managed by National Company Industrial Zones, whose sole owner of the capital the Ministry of Economy is. 19 projects certified under the Investments Encouragement Act are implemented in zone Sofia – Bozhurishte, and the greatest interest shown on the part of the foreign investors is in the automobile industry and the highly technological services” – the Minister also said.
Minister Sedlarski also announced that the projects which received certificates for investment in 2016 add up to twenty-four – twice more as compared to the preceding year and the total amount of the investments under the projects is 383.67 million BGN – by nearly 200 million BGN more than 2015. “The opening of over 4700 new workplaces is expected” – the Minister added.
The representatives of the investors pointed out that Bulgaria is a good place for investments as well as that the business and the state work in the same direction. Plamen Tsekov, Executive Director of Scale Focus AD thanked Minister Sedlarski that assistance is rendered to the IT industry.
