National Company Industrial Zones (NCIZ), under the Ministry of Economy and Industry, will begin the construction of a Regional Center for Digital Solutions and Innovations on the territory of Sofia-Bozhurishte Industrial Park.
The project is for over BGN 6 million and the funds will be provided under the program Scientific Research, Innovation and Digitalization for Intelligent Transformation, after the State company and the Ministry of Innovation and Growth signed a contract for it.
The goal is to build an innovative digital infrastructure that will serve the companies – investors in the park, and also future entrepreneurs, researchers, innovators, scientists, citizens, and the regional administration.
The creation of a virtual reality laboratory will provide an opportunity for all users for 3D laser visualization of buildings, machines, and new products before their launch on the market, also known as testing before investing.
The project will stimulate innovations and the implementation of new technologies in work processes and increase the technological potential of companies and users of digital services.
The deadline for the construction of the digital hub is 36 months.
The signing of the contract is a success for NCIZ, which started the procedure back in 2021.
Sofia-Bozhurishte Industrial Park is a priority project of NCIZ, in which 42 Bulgarian and foreign investors have already been attracted, in a number of sectors, including the automotive industry, high technology, warehousing, and logistics activities.
The industrial park, with a surface area of 3 million square meters, offers plots with built-up infrastructure with possibilities for power supply, water supply, domestic wastewater and storm sewerage, gasification, and fiber optics.
