A New Salary Increase at LB Bulgaricum

In line with the commitments made by the Minister of Economy and Industry, Dr. Petko Nikolov, and the Executive Director of LB Bulgaricum, Zhivko Zhivkov, to the employees at the company’s production facility in Vidin, the company has announced plans for a new salary increase to improve working conditions and remuneration. This increase will be included in the employees’ salaries for January 2025.

This is the third salary increase in the past eight months since the management team appointed by Minister Nikolov assumed control of the enterprise. Employee wages were previously increased by 10% on May 1st last year, followed by another 10% in September. This third raise also meets the demands of the company’s trade unions, fulfilling the commitment to increase salaries by up to 30%.

“The increase in salaries was made possible by the improved performance indicators of the company, a result of the teamwork of everyone at LB Bulgaricum,” LB Bulgaricum Executive Director Zhivko Zhivkov said. He mentioned that the enterprise’s activity report will be completed in March, and the results will be clear to everyone. “One indicator of this is the volume of processed raw milk, which has risen by approximately 60% since May.,” Zhivkov further commented.

Alongside the salary increases, the company’s management is moving forward with the promised modernization of the Vidin facility. An urgent repair was completed there before the autumn and winter season. A phased repair of the existing yogurt and fresh milk machines has also begun. Inquiries for quotes have been sent out for the purchase of technological production lines for yogurt and butter. A technical report on the condition of the road surface and underground communications is expected in a few days, which will allow for the commissioning of necessary repairs.

“The continuous development and improvement of the LB Bulgaricum facility in Vidin is a top priority for the company’s management and the Ministry of Economy and Industry, as its principal,” Minister Nikolov stressed at the beginning of September 2024, when he, along with Zhivko Zhivkov, visited Vidin and personally spoke with the employees at the LB Bulgaricum production facility in the city.
