For the period April-August 2024, the Ministry of Economy and Industry undertook a clear and transparent policy, for the benefit of business and Bulgarian consumers, for the implementation of leading national priorities, which are the competence of the Ministry. Among them are the accelerated work towards Bulgaria’s accession to the euro area, as well as the progress made in the process of Bulgaria’s accession to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
The Ministry continues to work to improve the business environment in Bulgaria, to develop industrial parks and to promote investment. During the reporting period, the National Company of Zagore Industrial Zone EAD under the Ministry of Economy and Industry attracted 4 new investors with projects with a total value of nearly BGN 40 million, which will create more than 65 jobs.
During the reporting period, funds in the amount of BGN 21 287 920 were secured for the financial support of Dobroslavtsi Economic Zone EAD. This created a real opportunity for the successful implementation of the project. It is planned to construct the necessary feeder and internal infrastructure to serve the needs of the automotive-oriented businesses and related industries.
Three new industrial parks were registered in the reporting period – High-Tech Production Park Sofia West, Industrial Park Dobrich and Zagore Industrial Zone. The newly registered parks aim to attract national and foreign investors, develop new business activities, generate new jobs and improve regional infrastructure.
The first results are already present, as the Industrial Park “Zagore Industrial Zone” has attracted investor interest. The project is worth more than BGN 240 million and is expected to create 812 new jobs, which will improve the investment climate in the Stara Zagora region and lead to sustainable and inclusive growth in the region.
