Petko Nikolov took office as caretaker Minister for Economy and Industry. He assured that there will be continuity in the activities of the department and will continue to work on the set priorities.
The newly elected interim Minister for Economy and Industry Petko Nikolov accepted the post from Bogdan Bogdanov. Bogdanov recalled the management programme of the outgoing government, which was written for 18 months. Among the tasks he listed: the preparation of several laws, the priorities around economic development, the forthcoming meetings of six intergovernmental committees to be held this year, the efforts around Schengen and the euro area, and the reform of state-owned enterprises.
Earlier today at the Council of Ministers was held a ceremony of succession in the executive power after the members of the caretaker cabinet, with Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev, took the oath of office in the National Assembly.
