A new salary increase at the state-owned dairy processing enterprise
In line with the commitments made by the Minister of Economy and Industry, Dr. Petko Nikolov, to the LB Bulgaricum production plant staff in Vidin towards improving working conditions and remuneration, the employees of the state-owned dairy processing company received a salary increase for September.
It is the second salary increase in the last four months since the management team appointed by Minister Nikolov took over the enterprise. The Ministry of Economy notes that employees’ wages at the production facility have already increased by 10%, effective retroactively from May 1st, 2024. This latest pay raise also fulfills the demands of the company’s trade unions.
“The salary increase at LB Bulgaricum is due to the company’s strong productivity and rising sales and revenue,” said Executive Director Zhivko Zhivkov.
In parallel with the salary increases, the company’s management is also starting the promised modernization of Vidin’s production facility, which will happen in stages. “The development and continuous improvement of the LB Bulgaricum facility in Vidin is a top priority for the company’s management and the Ministry of Economy and Industry, as its principal,” stated Minister Nikolov at the beginning of September when he and Zhivko Zhivkov visited Vidin and personally spoke with the employees at the LB Bulgaricum production facility in the city.
