Opportunities for expanding bilateral economic cooperation were discussed at a meeting between the Minister of Economy and Industry and Industry, Peter Dilov, and the Ambassador of Mongolia to Bulgaria, H.E. Lkhagvasuren Sayanaa.
The two identified promising areas for enhancing cooperation in trade and economic relations between the two countries, including the mining industry, the food industry, trade, transport, agriculture, partnership between small and medium-sized companies from the two countries, and others.
“We believe that the level of economic cooperation does not correspond to the potential of the two countries and the good political relations,” Minister Dilov said. He added that our country would continue to support the strengthening of the relations between the EU and Mongolia. For her part, H.E. Ms. Lkhagvasuren Sayanaa emphasised the strategic importance of Bulgaria for promoting trade between Mongolia and Europe.
During the talks, Minister Dilov pointed out the role of the Joint Bulgarian-Mongolian Commission for Economic, Trade and Scientific-Technical Cooperation as an important mechanism for the development of bilateral relations and the identification of specific measures to stimulate cooperation in the trade and economic field. The possibility of it being held later this year was discussed.
