Second Plant for High-Tech Production to Be Built in Zagore Industrial Zone – Elenino

The plan is to invest over BGN 150 million and create 200 new jobs.

Zagore Industrial Zone signed a preliminary agreement with a new investor. The company has submitted an investment proposal for the construction of a high-tech manufacturing plant. The enterprise will be built near the village of Elenino, Stara Zagora, on a site that is part of the second phase of Zagore Industrial Zone – Elenino, in which the National Company Industrial Zones, which operates under the Ministry of Economy and Industry, and the Municipality of Stara Zagora are shareholders.

The investment exceeds BGN 150 million and stipulates the creation of over 200 new jobs, which will create conditions for increasing economic activity and the possibility of enhancing economic development and quality of life in the region.

The Executive Director of Zagore Industrial Zone, Radoslav Tanev, and the Deputy Mayor of Stara Zagora, Radostin Tanev, met with representatives of the new investor of the site near the village of Elenino. The common goal is to raise the standard and quality of life of the residents of the municipality, and to contribute to the improvement of the settlements and educational services, through the implementation of innovations.

In collaboration with the State and the Municipality, the industrial zone in Stara Zagora is on the way to successfully implement the second stage of its development. Following the sustainable policies at the national and local level for providing conditions, tools, and opportunities for promoting investments, the development of Zagore Industrial Zone aims to stimulate economic growth in the Stara Zagora region, increase its export capacity, by creating favorable conditions for investors, and opening new jobs.

This is the second investment in Zagore Industrial Zone – Elenino, where NCIZ and the Municipality are shareholders, after an investment of over BGN 240 million in a new factory for production of solar panels was announced in August.
