Ukraine is a significant foreign trade partner of Bulgaria and over the years the relations between our countries have been developing in a spirit of trust, good neighbourliness and partnership. Our joint efforts are aimed at fruitful cooperation and the establishment of security and stability. This was said by the Deputy Minister of Economy and Industry Dr. David Sukalinski at the opening of the Balkan-Ukrainian Forum, which was held within the framework of the 16th International Defence Products and Services Exhibition ‘HEMUS 2024’.
In his words, such initiatives provide an opportunity for new partnerships, growth of trade and investment and expansion of cooperation. Dr. Sukalinski also emphasized that one of the main objectives of HEMUS 2024 is to strengthen the supply chains of defence-related products and technologies.
‘In an increasingly interconnected world, our security and economic priority depend on our ability to work together, share knowledge and leverage our strengths. By fostering the spirit of cooperation, we can collectively improve our defence capabilities and ensure a more secure and safer future for all’, the Deputy Minister of Economy and Industry said. He added that by working together, the strategies and technologies needed to overcome the challenges facing the world can be developed.
‘I would like to assure you that in the Ministry of Economy and Industry you have a reliable partner and we will support the development of future economic initiatives in the context of our common commitment to uphold the principles of sovereignty and security in Europe and in the world’, the Deputy Minister said.
Within the framework of the forum, Dr. David Sukalinski, together with the Deputy Minister of Defence Adelina Nikolova, held a meeting with the Deputy Ministers of Defence and Strategic Industries of Ukraine — Dmytro Klimenkov and Serhii Boev. It discussed strengthening economic ties and promoting fruitful cooperation between the two countries.
