The Ministry of Economy and Industry will continue to work towards implementing commercial models that protect the rights and economic interests of consumers. Deputy Minister of Economy and Industry, Dr. David Sukalinski, said this during the official presentation of the Economic Impact Assessment of Lidl Bulgaria’s activities in 2023.
In his statement, Dr. Sukalinski highlighted the excellent Bulgarian-German economic relations and commended the role of the commercial chain, which enables Bulgarian producers to achieve growth in their sales and reach international markets.
One of the most significant benefits for the development of the country’s economy is the opportunity that Lidl Bulgaria offers to Bulgarian small and medium enterprises to expand their access to foreign markets, gain broader recognition, and sustainably integrate into international supply chains, Dr. Sukalinski said.
He expressed confidence that the German company will continue to exert a significant influence on the development of the economic and social environment in Bulgaria and to support consumers and Bulgarian producers.
The German Ambassador to Bulgaria, Her Excellency Irene Plank, attended the official opening, along with representatives from the business and civil sectors.
