“I wish health and professional success to everyone who, through their work, upholds the principles of accuracy and trust—values that form the foundation of good governance.” With these words, the Deputy Minister of Economy, Innovation, and Industry Mihaela Karadimova congratulated all specialists celebrating World Metrology Day, who work to maintain high standards within the industry.
On behalf of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economics Alexander Poulev, she delivered a greeting on the occasion of the holiday, noting that the signing of the Metre Convention in 1875 marked the beginning of creating a common language of accuracy and trust among nations.
This year’s motto for World Metrology Day—”Sustainability in the Air: Metrology for Climate Action”—highlights the significant role of metrology in the modern world. “In conditions of dynamic change, effective policies can only be built on the basis of accurate, reliable, and verifiable data,” Deputy Minister Karadimova emphasized.

During the event, she pointed out that metrology is a key factor for guaranteeing trust and security. “Today, accuracy matters more than ever—from climate change and air quality control to food safety. Metrology remains the invisible but vital foundation of modern development,” Karadimova stated.
