“Exports have traditionally been one of the main pillars of every competitive economy. Our role is to create the conditions that allow Bulgarian companies to step confidently onto the international stage.” This was stated by Deputy Minister Nevena Lazarova during the ceremony for the annual “Exporter of the Year” awards.

The event is held for the thirteenth consecutive year under the patronage of the Ministry of Economy and Industry and highlights the contribution of Bulgarian exporters. The rankings cover companies from the small and medium-sized business sector and are compiled by the National Statistical Institute.

Deputy Minister Lazarova noted that since the beginning of the year, the Ministry’s Trade and Economic Affairs Offices (TEAO) have supported nearly 1,200 Bulgarian companies in carrying out exports and in finding partners for joint projects.

According to her, Bulgarian export-oriented companies can rely on the team of the Ministry of Economy and Industry, the Bulgarian Export Insurance Agency, and the TEAO network to help them explore opportunities for entering new markets and expanding their presence in established ones.

During the ceremony, Deputy Minister Lazarova presented the Grand Crystal Award for “Highest Export Revenues for 2024” to Alkao Ltd., a leading company in the production of cocoa and chocolate products. Among the other awardees were Dionysomarble Ltd., which received the Crystal Award for Export Manager of the Year 2024, and Gopet Trans Ltd., recipient of the Crystal Award for Outstanding Export Achievements.
