BGN 7 million investment launched at Sofia–Bozhurishte Industrial Park
Construction has commenced on a new logistics facility in the village of Gurmazovo, within the Sofia–Bozhurishte Industrial Park. The total value of the investment amounts to approximately BGN 7 million. This was announced during a meeting between the Deputy Minister of Economy and Industry, Ms Nevena Lazarova, and Mr Alexander Golomehov, Managing Director of the Bulgarian company “Imelius” OOD. The meeting was also attended by Mr Angel Tanev, Executive Director of the National Company “Industrial Zones” (NCIZ).
According to the project plan, a 7,530 square metre warehouse facility will be constructed, designed in line with modern European standards and equipped with energy-efficient systems, optimised logistics infrastructure, and sustainable resource management technologies.
At the meeting, Deputy Minister Lazarova emphasised that investors can rely on the Ministry and the leadership of NCIZ to provide full support throughout all stages of their investment project implementation.
She noted that state-owned industrial zones are becoming more attractive to businesses not only because they offer industrial land but also due to a comprehensive range of services that help accelerate and facilitate the implementation of investment projects.
“NCIZ is currently in negotiations with companies operating in the fields of pharmaceuticals, high-tech manufacturing and equipment, food and beverage production, and data storage. These projects are expected to create 120 new jobs,” she announced.
“A very important step towards attracting new investors to the Sofia–Bozhurishte Industrial Park is the recently announced construction of the Regional Centre for Digital Solutions and Innovation. This centre will serve as a platform supporting businesses and the public sector in the digital transformation process,” Lazarova added.
According to her, since the beginning of the year, NCIZ has signed two real estate purchase agreements in the Sofia–Bozhurishte Industrial Park, along with one preliminary contract from another investor showing interest in the same location.
“I would like to express my deep appreciation to the team at Imelius for choosing to implement this project right here. This is an investment that will not only improve the region’s logistics connectivity, but will also contribute to the better utilisation of the industrial potential of Sofia Region,” said Angel Tanev.
