The Deputy Minister of Economy and Industry, Nevena Lazarova, attended the signing of a sectoral collective labor agreement between the Bulgarian Association of the Metallurgical Industry and the sectoral trade union organizations.
During the event, Lazarova emphasized the importance of metallurgy as a strategic sector. “For the Bulgarian economy, metallurgy is a key sector, accounting for 14% of exports and providing significant employment. That is why the Ministry of Economy and Industry pays particular attention to the sector when developing its policies,” Lazarova said.
Lazarova expressed confidence that the good partnership between institutions, employers and trade unions will continue to develop in a spirit of mutual respect and a shared vision for the future of Bulgarian industry.
The event was also attended by the Vice President of the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria, the Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Policy, the Chairman of the Management Board of the Bulgarian Association of the Metallurgical Industry, and representatives of trade union organizations from the sector.
