The Bulgarian economy is entering a new phase – defined by ambition, responsibility, and sustainability. We are working to improve the investment climate and position Bulgaria as a destination for value-added production, sustainable industrial development and regional leadership in innovation. This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Economy and Industry, Nikolai Pavlov, who participated in the annual meeting of the French-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry /CCIFB /. At the event, the CCIFB Yearbook was presented, offering valuable information for investors and insights into the trade relations between the two countries.
Deputy Minister Pavlov emphasised that the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the French-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry is not only a tribute to two decades of institutional presence, but also a reflection of the enduring partnership between the economic communities of our two countries. “Let us build on this solid foundation and encourage even deeper cooperation in the years ahead – together contributing to a more integrated and competitive European economy,” Pavlov added.
Nikolai Pavlov highlighted that France is among Bulgaria’s leading trade partners, with French investors consistently demonstrating a long-term commitment to the Bulgarian market. “We welcome the growing interest of French companies in sectors where Bulgaria has both capacity and ambition – energy transformation, circular economy, mobility, smart manufacturing and digital infrastructure,” he said, adding that the Ministry of Economy is fully committed to supporting such initiatives through streamlined procedures, predictable policy direction and strong institutional backing.
Among the official guests at the annual meeting of the French-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry /CCIFB/ were Zhecho Stankov – Minister of Energy, Atanas Zafirov – Deputy Prime Minister, Tsvetan Simeonov – President of the BCCI, as well asbusiness and institutional representatives from across the country.
