Deputy Minister of Economy and Industry Yanko Topalov took part in the regular meeting of the Competitiveness Council of the European Union, held in Brussels. Deputy Minister Topalov took part in the regular meeting of the Competitiveness Council

The topics discussed in the Internal Market and Industry part are the adoption of a common approach on three legislative dossiers: a directive on corporate sustainability due diligence, a regulation on the protection of geographical indications for craft and industrial products, and a regulation establishing a framework of measures to strengthen the European semiconductor ecosystem (Integrated Circuits Act).

The Council also adopted conclusions on the European Agenda for Tourism 2030. The meeting also presented progress reports on proposals for a regulation establishing a framework for setting eco-design requirements for sustainable products and for a directive on empowering consumers in the context of the ecological transition through better protection against unfair practices and better information.
