Enterprises that invest for the long term, create sustainable jobs and reinvest in advanced technologies are at the heart of the economic policies being pursued by the Government. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Economy, Investment and Industry Krasimir Yakimov, who attended the official opening of new production facilities and an administrative building at Mihalkovo mineral water company, which also marked its 70th anniversary.
“Over the past five years, Mihalkovo has invested nearly EUR 12 million in modernizing and expanding its production, and employs over 120 people, creating opportunities for young people to stay and build careers in the region,” Yakimov noted.
In his address, he highlighted the Government’s efforts to reduce the administrative burden, improve the speed of administrative services and enhance coordination between institutions for the benefit of business and the public. In this context, he recalled that within just a few weeks, concrete measures have been taken, including the consolidation of the country’s investment policy under the leadership of the Prime Minister and coordinated by the Deputy Prime Minister.
Yakimov further noted that a central coordination unit for strategic investments has been established, which will improve institutional cooperation. Additionally, 273 measures have already been identified to reduce the administrative burden and improve the investment environment.
In conclusion, Krasimir Yakimov stressed that all the actions taken share a common goal, building a more predictable, more competitive and more effective economic environment that stimulates investment and sustainable growth across all regions of the country.
