Zhivko Zhivkov is the new Executive Director of LB Bulgaricum

A new management of LB Bulgaricum EAD has been appointed. The composition of the Board of Directors, which is already registered in the Commercial Register, includes Zhivko Zhivkov, Nadya Stefanova and Spasin Kraychev.

At its meeting, the new Board of Directors elected Zhivko Zhivkov as CEO of LB Bulgaricum EAD.

Last week, the Minister of Economy and Industry Dr. Petko Nikolov asked the company’s principal, the State Consolidation Company, to urgently replace the previous management and appoint a new one. The demand for resignations came after a meeting of the minister with the trade unions and protesting employees of LB Bulgaricum, during which a number of accumulated problems were highlighted. These included disruption of dialogue between workers and management, demands for an increase in basic wages, for the provision of specialised work wear, for compliance with working conditions, and reports of a large amount of stockpiled finished products that risked not being marketed.

Zhivko Zhivkov is a Master Agronomist from the University of Forestry in Sofia, he is also a Master of Law from the University of Veliko Tarnovo ‘St. St. Cyril and Methodius’ and Master of Business Administration from the Academy of Economics in Svishtov. He has extensive management experience in both the public and private sectors. Mr. Zhivkov has held various positions in the State Fund Agriculture — Regional Director of the State Fund Agriculture in Veliko Tarnovo, Deputy Executive Director of the State Fund Agriculture and Executive Director of the State Fund Agriculture. He also has experience in project management of EU programmes and marketing of agricultural produce, farm machinery etc. in private sector companies.

Nadya Stefanova graduated in Accounting and Finance at the South-west University ‘Neofit Rilski’. She also holds a Master in Municipal Finance and Public Sector Economics and a Master in International Business Management and Marketing from the same university. From 2021 until now Mrs Stefanova has been Financial Controller at National Electricity Company. She has also worked as an expert at the Financial Supervision Commission and at the National Company Industrial Zones. She was also an expert in insurance at the National Insurance Institute — Kyustendil.

Spasin Kraychev is a technologist engineer, master’s degree from the University of Food Technology in Plovdiv. He has extensive experience in the milk trade. For over 10 years he was CEO of companies involved in the purchase, production and sale of milk and dairy products. Over the years he has worked as a technologist and has held various positions in industrial enterprises.
