The Forum is organized by the Foundation for Modern Education and the Branch Chamber of Woodworking and Furniture Industry (BCWFI).

He also presented the possibilities of the first technology park in Bulgaria – Sofia Tech Park as a suitable location for a new Adidas project in Bulgaria.

Exports of Bulgarian goods to the federal state of Bavaria in 2021 will exceed 1 billion euros, which is a record in bilateral trade. This was underlined during a meeting between the Minister of Economy and Industry of the Republic of Bulgaria Nikola Stoyanov and the State Minister for Federal Affairs and Media and Head of the Bavarian State Chancellery Florian Hermann.

Supporting small and medium-sized enterprises to increase competitiveness and specialisation in high-tech industries are the strategic objectives on which the Ministry of Economy and Industry is working. This was stated by Deputy Minister Dimitar Danchev today at the opening of the forum “Opportunities and challenges of the ecological transition for small and medium-sized enterprises, enterprises of the social economy, crafts, liberal professions”.

For the first time, investment opportunities in the ICT sector in Bulgaria were the focus of Germany’s most significant event for entrepreneurship and innovation. The Minister of Economy and Industry, Nikola Stoyanov, opened an online master class on “En route to Bulgaria: the newest hotspot for a strong growth for IT, innovation and digitalization”. The event is part of the elite entrepreneurship and innovation conference “Bits & Pretzels”, which takes place in Munich and traditionally gathers over 5000 participants.

The Republic of Bulgaria and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will partner to promote investment between the two countries. This was underscored during a meeting between the Minister of Economy and Industry Nikola Stoyanov and H.E. Khalid Bin Kamal Faqih, Ambassador of the Arab State to Bulgaria. During the discussion, the two sides discussed a future agreement on the promotion and mutual protection of investments, which will create a basis for attracting more Saudi investments in our country.

More than 1150 students from 30 schools in 15 specialties are enrolled in the dual form of education for the 2022/2023 academic year. This became clear during a conference for the presentation of the results of the project “Dual training in Bulgaria” (GODUAL). The event was opened by the Minister of Economy and Industry Nikola Stoyanov and Philippe Kupfer, Commercial Counsellor at the Austrian Embassy.

The initiative aimed to present the conditions that state industrial parks can offer, as well as the plans for their development.
“For the last 10 years private investments in the Bozhurishte industrial zone have amounted to over BGN 610 million. These funds have been invested mainly by foreign companies”, Minister Nikola Stoyanov emphasized. According to him, the zone produces materials for the automotive industry, parts and modules for packaging machines for the food, pharmaceutical and medical industries, telecommunications equipment, audio systems, and equipment for the military industry, biocosmetics, biofoods, etc. Exports are mainly to EU countries, but many manufacturers have customers worldwide.

I expect that by the end of the year the gross value added produced by research and development will reach BGN 10 billion. This was announced by the Minister of Economy and Industry Nikola Stoyanov during the opening of the 76th edition of the International Technical Fair in Plovdiv. He congratulated the organizers for giving focus to Industry 4.0 and innovation this year.

For the 2022/2023 academic year, 90 employers have expressed their willingness to hire students in 13 professional fields and to open jobs for 730 students. This was announced to the media by the Minister of Economy and Industry Nikola Stoyanov at the University of National and World Economy. He was a guest at the official opening of the new academic year at the university.
