Soon we will be able to say that every European car has Bulgarian parts because we have confirmation from a new investor who is a global manufacturer in the automotive industry. This was announced by the Minister of Economy and Industry Nikola Stoyanov during a Seminar for new members of the foreign diplomatic corps in Bulgaria, organized by the Diplomatic Institute at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

More than BGN 200 million have been earmarked in the National Recovery and Resilience Plan for the development of industrial zones in the country. This was announced by the Minister of Economy and Industry Nikola Stoyanov during the ceremony “Mayor of the Year”, organized by Kmeta.bg.

Small and medium-sized enterprises are the backbone of our economic system, employing over 75% of our workforce and generating 66% of value added. This was announced by the Minister of Economy and Industry Nikola Stoyanov during the opening of the International Conference “Financial and Investment Support for SMEs – Sofia International Money Expo” (SIM EXPO 2022). He added that Bulgaria is even more dependent on small and medium-sized enterprises compared to countries in Europe, where SMEs provide about 66% of employment.

This was agreed during a meeting of the Minister of Economy and Industry Nikola Stoyanov with the Chairman of the Supreme Bar Council Ivaylo Dermendzhiev, PhD.
“We are ambitious to propose a number of legislative changes within a short period of time to be submitted for consideration when the National Assembly is formed. Our country has long-delayed reforms that are vital for our economy,” Minister Stoyanov stressed. Mr. Dermendzhiev, PhD expressed the readiness of the Supreme Bar Council to assist the process as the proposals for changes in operational order are considered by specialists in the relevant fields. He stressed that based on the experience of the members of the Council, they can give very useful recommendations even before the legislative initiatives are publicly presented, in order to avoid possible weaknesses and to prepare much better legal acts that will give a long-term framework for the development of public relations.

Investment projects of German companies for nearly 100 million euros are launched. This was announced by the Minister of Economy and Industry Nikola Stoyanov in the morning news of BNT. Yesterday evening, he returned from Germany, where a number of talks were held with companies looking for new locations or expansion of their business.
He clarified that these are companies in the automotive components and information and communication technology sectors. “We are talking about projects that will start in a few months and that will create 3,500 jobs,” the economy minister explained. According to him, our country is very close to attracting one of the biggest sports brands in the world, which is considering the possibility of opening a technology centre in the country. “I told them a lot about Sofia Tech Park and they showed serious interest in it, I expect to welcome them next month in Bulgaria,” he added.

The Forum is organized by the Foundation for Modern Education and the Branch Chamber of Woodworking and Furniture Industry (BCWFI).
“We actively support the introduction of the work-based learning system because it is a prerequisite for providing qualified personnel for the business, attracting more foreign investment and achieving sustainable economic growth,” said Deputy Minister Danchev.

“Bulgaria is interested in attracting investors who will add value to the Bulgarian economy. Adidas is a brand that speaks for itself and I am sure that our country can offer many opportunities if you trust and invest in Bulgaria,” Minister Stoyanov stressed. He also presented the possibilities of the first technology park in Bulgaria – Sofia Tech Park as a suitable location for a new Adidas project in Bulgaria.

Exports of Bulgarian goods to the federal state of Bavaria in 2021 will exceed 1 billion euros, which is a record in bilateral trade. This was underlined during a meeting between the Minister of Economy and Industry of the Republic of Bulgaria Nikola Stoyanov and the State Minister for Federal Affairs and Media and Head of the Bavarian State Chancellery Florian Hermann.

Supporting small and medium-sized enterprises to increase competitiveness and specialisation in high-tech industries are the strategic objectives on which the Ministry of Economy and Industry is working. This was stated by Deputy Minister Dimitar Danchev today at the opening of the forum “Opportunities and challenges of the ecological transition for small and medium-sized enterprises, enterprises of the social economy, crafts, liberal professions”.
