The Internal Audit Directorate is directly subordinate to Minister of Economy and Industry and shall be performed in accordance with the Public Sector Internal Audit Act.
The Internal Audit Directorate shall conduct internal audit of all the structures, programmes, activities and processes in the Ministry of Economy and Industry, including operations financed with funds from the European Union, and organisations whose heads are second level spending units to the Minister; public enterprises from the Ministry’s system, in which there is no internal audit unit.
